Tacos, donuts, ice cream, oh my!
Dallas has been stepping up their ice cream game- and I’ve taken notice! No longer do I feel the need to catch a quick trip to NYC to experience some out of the ordinary frozen treats (and my wallet GREATLY appreciates this).
Here are a few of my favorite places that do ice cream with a little extra somethin’ somethin’.
Chills360 // Deep Ellum
Rolled ice cream has made it’s way to Dallas, but not just any rolled treat… we’re talking an ICE-CREAM-TACO. Yup, your Taco Tuesday just got a little sweeter. At only $7, this is a steal. I’ve tried half their menu and can promise you no flavor choice is a bad call. Don’t try to order the taco on a Friday, or Monday, or Thursday… it’s called Taco Tuesday for a reason.
Milk + Cream // Lower Greenville
Milk + Cream is known for it’s twist of an ice cream sandwich- glazed (or unglazed) donut paired with hard served ice cream, topped with cereal. I highly recommend ordering Cookie Monster + Lucky Charms (but fair warning, your whole mouth will be blue). It’s a little on the sweet side, so be prepared to chug a little water after consuming.
Churro Alley // Carrolton
If you’re feeling adventurous, order a churro with soft served ice cream and add some toppings. Now, of course you can pick and choose what you order, but why not go all out and get it all? Be sure to try vanilla soft served + caramel + Oreo cookies.
Hide Bar // Deep Ellum
Edible cookie dough isn’t just in your dreams anymore, y’all. It’s real- and it’s on an ice cream sundae that isn’t even on the menu yet. BUT, you can order it since you know about it now. Comes with salted caramel ice cream, chocolate chip + peanut butter cookie dough, nutter butter cookie and caramel sauce.
Did your favorite make the list? If it didn’t, let me know about it so I can check it out!
