What Is Equilibria CBD?

CBD, the acronym for cannabidiol, is one of the cannabinoids found in industrial hemp strains of the Cannabis Sativa plant. Cannabinoids are a chemical compound that interact with your biological processes to produce a desired effect. The combination of cannabinoids in a carefully bred strain of industrial hemp — including the one we use in our full-spectrum, whole-flower Equilibria products — work together in a chemical reaction called “the entourage effect.”

I have known people who have been using CBD for years, but it was something that I was always skeptical about. Honestly, I thought CBD was just a code word for legal weed (which I have tried in the past and hated). But after a few of my closest friends started telling me about how much CBD had helped with their increased anxiety during the pandemic, I decided to look into it more. Being a skeptic and quite frankly a cheapskate, I asked around to my different friends about the brands, the product types, how often they took it, etc, to see what was right for me to explore. Equilibria was the brand used by the majority of people with positive CBD experiences.

After I started taking the Equilibria soft gels for about 2 months, I had a “ah ha” moment. When the winter storm hit Dallas, we had a late night of dealing with pool equipment breaking in sub zero weather. This sort of situation would normally result in anxiousness and tears… But somehow I remained calm throughout the whole night. The next day my husband looked at me and goes “not to be rude, but who were you last night?” The only difference we could think of that helped me remain calm was the CBD.

In full transparency, I have not been taking the CBD soft gels the last ~2 months. I was noticing some increased redness in my face and with my Dr have been trying to narrow down what could be causing it. Because of this, I have gotten out of my daily routine. I have still been using the topical + bath CBD products.

Equilibria CBD Products Review

I have tried most of the Equilibria CBD products myself, so let’s dive into the technicalities of the products + honest review. In full transparency, Equilibria gifted me products to test, but as always the opinions are my own. The links I share are commissionable, but this post is just me wanting to share. They don’t even know I’m writing this blog post (unless they found it on Google like you did, if so hi EQ team!).

Daily Soft Gels

The soft gels are my CBD product of choice. I find them easy to remember to take, which might not sound like a big selling point but I am crazy forgetful. I can easily put these in my weekly pill organizer and take with my other morning pills. PS- how cute is my pill organizer? Functional, colorful, cute… and only $13.

The soft gels are also easier for me to take. I can swallow pills no problem, but some of the other ways to take CBD are a struggle. More on that later.

I take one soft gel in the morning. The soft gels are absorbed through the digestive system for a slow release of the CBD. This helps your body build up a storage of CBD, providing long-lasting relief. Each soft gel is 10mg, I personally take one a day but the dosage specialist helps each person figure out what is best of them.

Equilibria suggests you give any of the daily CBD products 3 months of a trial period. CBD does not work for everyone, but because of the nature of the products, one month isn’t long enough to know if it’s good for you. I personally started to notice differences after 2 months using the soft gels every day.

Daily Drops

The Equilibra CBD Daily Drops come in regular and extra strength. The regular strength comes in unflavored and mint, while the extra strength is unflavored. I’ve also seen some limited time flavors, so that’s something to keep an eye out for.

Some people take the CBD dropper daily (like I do the soft gels), while others use it as-needed. The full doppler is 10mg, so half would be 5mg. From what I’ve been told, many people take a half to a full dose before bed to help them sleep or on days they are experiencing higher than normal stress or anxiety.

I personally do not like the Daily Drops. I tried to use the Daily Drops when I was first introduced to the brand, but I couldn’t ever get the CBD oil to fully absorb before it was a puddle of drool mixed with the CBD.

Rapid Calming Melts

Rapid Calming Melts are a newer Eq CBD product. I personally haven’t noticed big differences in using them. But let’s chat about what exactly they are/when to use them.

The melts are mint-flavored and each one is 5mg full-spectrum CBD. They’re meant to be used as-needed in addition to your daily CBD routine. EQ partnered with SUM (“Superior Uptake Method”) Biotech to create an innovative way to quicken onset time and increase the absorption.

Relief Balm

The Relief Balm has been really helpful for me after working out and with tender muscles. I’ll use the Relief Balm to help calm down sore muscle tissue, especially with my knee after physical therapy. I am a terrible sleeper, I sleep with my arm under my pillow which can lead to a ton of pain when I wake up. While it helps with these pains in the moment, it is a short term fix.

Mindful Mineral Soak

The EQ bath products are probably my favorite of the bunch, I just wish the price was a bit lower. I tend to lean more towards the salt purely because of the price point. I use the CBD salt in baths when I’m feeling extra anxious and need some time to myself. The CBD salts also come in handy when my body feels tense from stress, cramps and injuries. I have PCOS and when I tell you the body aches are rough… ooph. If you have ever had cysts bursting, you know what I’m talking about.

Balance Bath Bomb

Your Balance Bath Bomb order isn’t cheap… but you do get 4 luxurious, large bath bombs. I also have to remind myself that bath bombs in general aren’t cheap, but clearly it’s hard for me wrap my mind around a $45 price tag for 4 items that are one time use.

Each bath bomb is 50mg of full-spectrum CBD to help you relax in the tub. There are two different bath bombs that come in your package- one has essential oil blends of Lavender Lemongrass and the other has Cardamom Rose.

Just like the salts, I love using these on tough days, sore muscle days, days I have cysts/cramps, etc. Also a great help to relax your body if you have a migraine.

Daily Treatment Oil

I have not tried this product. According to Equilibria, this is packed with seven nutrient-rich botanicals. The Daily Treatment Oil nourishes and renews deep into the layers of your skin. It features 500mg of full-spectrum CBD to moisturize and heal along with powerful oils like Sweet Almond, Litsea, and Olive Squalane, this multipurpose oil will support a range of common skin concerns – from dry skin to sun damage to pore size.

Dynamic Roller Duo

I have not tried the Equilibria CBD Dynamic Roller Duo. Per Equilibria, each roller is crafted with 75mg of full-spectrum, premium CBD to relieve pressure points, regulate mood and ease topical discomfort. They also have aromatherapeutic benefits of Peppermint + Jasmine + Lemon to reset and uplift or Lavender + Bergamot + Rosewood to soothe and relax.

How Do Equilibria CBD Products Work?

All of the Equilibria CBD products work differently. Topical CBD can be used as frequently as you would like. It does not enter the bloodstream and is meant to be used to spot-treating problem areas.

Equilibria CBD products that you ingest should be taken with consideration of an overall amount per day. These products enter your bloodstream and are meant to be an “all over” treatment. Be sure to take advantage of the dosage specialist to figure out what is best for you and your needs.

In my opinion they don’t taste good, but they don’t taste bad. It’s sort of a slimy oil under your tongue. There are flavors you can try, such as Mint. I much prefer the soft gel.
