Why did you start a blog? What does “Streets, Beats and Eats” stand for?
I started a music + entertainment blog during college called “Life’s A Hashtag”. When I graduated TCU in 2014, I moved to Dallas and felt completely lost. I didn’t have friends or family to help guide me, and I couldn’t find anyone on the internet sharing things that applied to me (a broke, fresh college graduate). I started sharing about what I was doing in Dallas – where I was eating, working out, getting my hair done, how I was making friends- on Instagram. Slowly but surely strangers started following me on Instagram and I realized people cared about what I was sharing.
In fall 2017 I merged my music blog and personal Instagram account and created Streets, Beats and Eats.
Streets, Beats and Eats stands for: streets I travel, streets of Dallas, streets that you take to become the person you are today. Beats because music is a huge part of my life. Eats because can you talk about Dallas without the amazing food scene?!
Where Do You Buy Sports Bras for Big Boobs?
Supportive sports bras for big boobs are tricky to find! I used to have to wear 2-3 sports bras at a time to find any support. But now I have a (small) rotation of sports bras that I like! I love the Elomi Energise Bra, Freya Dynamic High Impact Wire-Free Sports Bra and LIVI Active Medium-Impact Cooling No-Wire Sport Bra.
What is your favorite strapless bra?
I have two strapless bras that I wear depending on the outfit/occasion. When I need full support, I wear the Elomi Smoothing Strapless Bra in 36HH. The bra is 3 column, 4 row hook and eye closure; and has side boning for added support. When I’m looking for a little less push up, I grab my Ahh By Rhonda Shear Women’s Angel Seamless Bandeau Bra. I love the comfort of this bra and that it gives me more support than a regular bandeau, but doesn’t feel too constricting.
Who does your hair color in DFW?
I get my hair cut and colored in Frisco at Abstrakt Studio by Emily Alders!
Where are you getting married?
We are having a destination wedding in Cabo in December 6, 2020, this is a rescheduled date due to COVID-19.
What’s your favorite date night in Dallas?
We love going to dinner at Frankie’s Mexican Cuisine in Richardson if we’re staying in our area of town. I’m also partial to ice cream date nights.
What are your favorite Dallas restaurants?
I love having brunch in Dallas at City Hall Bistro at The Adolphus Hotel. One of my favorite places to grab a burger is Twisted Root- and while you’re there don’t forget to grab an ice cream shake while you’re there! When it comes to pizza, Pie Tap Workshop is where it’s at!
