Leon Bridges, CHVRCHES, Rae Sremmurd, Khruangbin, Tinashe, Superorganism, Tank and the Bangas, Bobby Sessions and many more are heading to Fort Worth this spring. I’ve seen both CHVRCHES and Leon Bridges, and can say with certainty that they put on great shows. There aren’t any other artists in the Fortress Festival lineup that I have seen live, but I’ve also heard great things. Needless to say, I’m stoked for April 27 and 28.
This is the third annual Fortress Festival in Fort Worth. Some of the praise it’s received in it’s first two years include: a “Can’t Miss Music Festival” by Harper’s Bazaar, an “arbiter of taste” by Texas Monthly, a “defiant outpost for Black music” by the Daily Dot, a “model for what urban festivals can achieve” by Fort Worth Weekly, “one of the best experiences to be had in the North Texas market” by Central Track and “like nothing else in the DFW area” by Free Press Houston.
