Straight and Plus Size Amazon Fall Dresses for Different Occasions
Shop the beautiful Amazon dresses for fall below! For sizing reference, I am 5’8″, wear a 36M US/36J UK bra and usually wear a size 14 or 16. My approximate measurements are 35″ waist and 49″ hips.
The Drop Women’s Chantal Fitted Cutout Rib Midi Sweater Dress
This dress is giving both super sexy and super modest vibes all at the same time. It hugs your curves, but doesn’t cling to your body. There’s a cut out near the chest, but it’s above the breasts. You get a little leg showing, but it’s not much (hits my mid shin). I’m really into this one for fall! It does feel a bit warm on, so I would wait to rock this until the temps agree with it. The material is super stretchy, so I would order your normal size or go down if in between. I also feel like this could be a great bump dress if you’re pregnant!

The Drop Women’s Mariana Power Shoulder Mini Dress
I keep going back and forth on how I feel about this dress. The shoulder pads are small, but mighty. They create a beautiful shape, but I don’t know if I can do the look with already having broad shoulders. The material feels like really great quality and I think the length is perfect- hits just above the knee. It can be dressed up or down pending what accessories you layer with it. I took my true size and it fits great throughout the dress. It pulls a little at my stomach, so if that would bother you, I would size up.

The Drop Women’s Ana Silky V-Neck Midi Slip Dress
There are lots of things I love about this silk slip dress, but the thing I don’t like outweighs the rest. The bra situation is tough… I would have to use boob tape to make it work. I tried it with strapless bra options and they all poked out of the dress. But if you’re not as busty and can go bra-less, or you are okay spending a little extra to use tape when you wear it, this is stunning. IT hits me mid shin and the slits start mid thigh on me. It has adjustable straps and a gorgeous neckline. I sized up to XXL and I’m glad I did, it fits snug. This dress would also look cute layered with sweaters over it for extending the cost per wear!

The Drop Women’s Mickey Loose-Fit One-Shoulder Cutout Rib Knit Maxi Dress
This feels more like a transitional summer to fall dress, or a fall dress in a place that the temp doesn’t drop too much. The ribbed material is fantastic and it hits me about mid shin. There are slits on either side that start mid thigh (love this detail!!). It is one shoulder or strapless bra friendly. I took my true to size and despite it being labeled a loose fit, it fits me a little loose but with some tightness on my curves which creates some shape. Also, if you are headed to a somewhat casual fall wedding, I think this could be a great wedding guest dress option!

London Times Women’s V-Neck Collar Midi Sheath
If you’re okay with a tight dress, this one feels incredible on! It lands a few inches below my knee and hugs every curve. There is a v neck, but it’s very modest of what it shows, even with my chest. I love the collar detail and the stripes. I would size up if you’re in between sizes and size up 2 if you want a little looser fit.

London Times Women’s Plus Size Aztec Burnout Ruffle Tie Neck Elastic Waist Fit & Flare
This is such a beautiful dress! It has silk lining under the dress which creates dimension with the top pattern and it feels great on the skin. It hits me right at the knees. There is elastic at the bottom of the bust which creates some shape on your body. The arm elastic at the bottom of the sleeves is a little snug on me, but nothing painful. The dress fits true to size and you could probably go down if you’re in between sizes.

R.Vivimos Women Summer Half Sleeve Cotton Ruffled Vintage Elegant Backless A Line Flowy Long Dresses
As far as the fit goes, I really like the dress. It’s a great length, the elastic on the shoulders doesn’t dig in and the smocking ends right at the top of the waistline. The dress feels decent quality wise and is lined (not see through whatsoever). Where it loses me is the “flap” at the top. It could just be a me thing with my chest, but I feel like it gives off a bit of a bar made vibe. I tried tucking in it to make it work, but that was a fail.
