One Last Summer Picnic with JaM Cellars
Nothing says new homeowners quite like making it almost the entire summer without going on a date. With the last day of summer quickly approaching (September 22 if you’re about to Google it), Austin and I decided it was about time we had a date night. Not just any date night, but a unique evening where we could spend uninterrupted time with one another. So we opted for a picnic, inside of course because the Texas weather still thinks it will be summer for a few more months.
We did a bottle for him, JaM Cellars Cabernet, and a bottle for her, JaM Cellars Butter Chardonnay. Since I didn’t drink any of the JaM Cab, I had to get Austin’s take on it. Cut him slack, he is a boy after-all and words are hard.
“It tastes a bit like blackberries and black plums. And some more fruits that I don’t know the name of. One of my favorite parts about a cab is the ripeness of berries, and JaM Cab has it. There’s a touch of vanilla at the end, too,” says Austin.

I went with the Butter Chardonnay, because it’s Butter than the rest if you ask me. It’s smooth, rich and bold, and melts in your mouth as you drink it. One tip, drink it ice cold, it’s the only way to go in my book. But, don’t just take my word for it, there are dozens of other people who have fallen in love with the bold, slightly crisp, taste of Butter.
And since you can’t have a picnic with only wine (well, you can, but it won’t end well!)… We picked up a few of our favorite fingers foods to enjoy while listening to Leon Bridges (Beyond is our JAM, pun intended), catching up and drinking JaM and Butter.
Thanks, Kathleen! Enjoy!vendor information pages
