It’s no secret that Dallasites love their pizza… and since October is National Pizza Month, I figured there’s no time like the present to round up the best Dallas pizza spots for every occasion! If your favorite didn’t make my list, share it in the comments! We can never have too many places in DFW to eat some ‘za!
PS- if you visit any of these Dallas pizza places, I would love to see what you order! Tag me on Instagram at @StreetsBeatsEats.

Dallas Pizza Places For Every Occasion
Let’s dive into some of the best Dallas pizza places for every occasion.
Dallas Pizza Date Night
Pie Tap Workshop + Bar | Design District, Henderson and Park + Preston
Looking for a Dallas pizza place with a bit more of a date night atmosphere? Pie Tap’s got you covered. My personal order at Pie Tap consists of Hummus and Sausage Pizza. If I’m feeling frisky, I’ll switch the pizza to the BBQ chicken. This isn’t your “order a large pizza for two people and expect leftovers for days” type of pizza place. Austin and I might have 1-2 pieces left over, but normally we end up eating the whole thing.
PS- this is my favorite sit down place for Dallas pizza. We go every year for our anniversary dinner!
Taverna | Legacy West, Knox and Fort Worth
You don’t necessarily go to Taverna for the pizza, but if you’re in a sharing mood, get you some pizza at Taverna. We have tried a half dozen of dishes from Taverna, but one of our fall backs is always a pizza. Doesn’t matter what flavor, just gimme a pizza from Taverna paired with a glass of wine, and a table on the patio. Your girl is sold.
Best Places to Grab Pizza for Lunch
Sauce Pizza & Wine | Los Colinas, The Hill and Prosper
To say we are obsessed with Sauce is an understatement. It’s the perfect spot to meet up for a casual or work related lunch. Plenty of options on the menu for even the pickiest eaters… and they serve wine if that’s the type of lunch you’re looking for. Pro tip- order the Bruschetta! We almost didn’t get it, and the kind Sauce team-member helping us recommended it. PRAISE HIM. I have been dreaming of it ever since.
Pizza Night With The Family
Fireside Pies | Inwood, Henderson, Fort Worth, Grapevine, Plano and Lake Highlands (coming soon)
We actually stopped by Fireside Pies on Inwood for date night, but saw lots of families there! Now I can’t speak for each location, but I would keep this on my short list for a pizza party with my kiddos. At this location there is also an upstairs patio area that would be perfect for a group outing- or when the extended family comes to town.
Urban Crust | Downtown Plano
Suburbia called, we answered. Living in Richardson, we’ve had to expand our favorite selections a bit. Cue Urban Crust in Plano. It’s what wood fire pizza dreams are made of.
Pizza By The Slice and On The Go
RaceTrac | Everywhere
And now I’ll introduce you to the king of gas station pizza, RaceTrac! If you didn’t tell me “hey I got this from a gas station,” I would never know. This pizza, ordered by the slice or as a full pie, is thick and hearty. Meat Lovers, Pepperoni and Buffalo Chicken have all been cooked to perfection… And you know it looks good when a friend from out of town specifically requests this picture from your feed, knowing Dallas Fort Worth has loads of food options. It doesn’t hurt that I can also get ice-cream while I’m picking up the pizza.
