Amazon Pool Day Essentials
My Favorite SPFs + Tanning Lotion
I tend to start my day with a rub in location sunscreen mixed with a bronzing lotion. I use a spray sunscreen for neck and face- this in edition to the Drunk Elephant SPF I use as part of my morning skin care. As someone who gets fever blisters every summer, the Aquifer lip SPF is a must have in my routine. When I reapply throughout the day, I usually grab a spray sunscreen for ease.
What to Wear
I have tried on so many different Amazon swimsuits, and here are a few that have worked for me. I love this black bikini from Amazon (above). This blue high waisted bikini is a fun one, too, and comes in tons of different colors. If you’re more of a one piece gal, this one piece with criss cross straps is so chic. As far as swim coverups go, I love this hot pink sarong from Amazon. It’s only $12 and comes in 8 different colors.
When it comes to shoes, I love slipping on these Eva Waterpoof Birkenstock sandals for pool days. This pool day essential comes in tons of colors. I have them in white and coral, but have been eyeing the lavender pair! I’ve had the same slides for over 3 years and they’re still holding up great, which is great for the cost per wear.
Pool Day Accessories
I ordered this visor sun hat for Cabo and I am thrilled that I did, it’s quickly become one of my favorite pool day essentials. It’s great for blocking sun from your face, but doesn’t constrict your hair like sun hats do. Although a scarf doesn’t protect your face, it is a very fashion forward accessory to rock pool side. Bucket hats are another fun way to accessorize at the pool. I have this white bucket hat, which comes in many colors. I really want the pink and purple bucket hats! Don’t sleep on ball caps– this one has a ton of color options and is only $12!
I love my hexagon RayBans, but if I’m getting into the water I make sure to have plastic/cheap sunglasses on hand. I ordered these white sunglasses for my wedding, they also come in other colors.
Here are a few great swim bags you can find on Amazon… This one is clear and water resistant, this is a black mesh swim bag and this is a fashion forward bag. But to be honest, we just have a reusable shopping bag that stores all of our goodies!
Pool Day Entertainment
There is nothing better than a summer book by the pool… but unfortunately I go through books really quickly. I recently bought a waterproof Kindle to help save my wallet. With that said, a few of my favorite books include: Malibu Rising, Verity, Regretting You, Big Summer, One to Watch and American Royals.
Another one of my top pool day essentials is a waterproof speaker. What you play on that speaker is up to you, but I can dig anything from podcasts to throwback playlists.
Pool Day Essentials to Keep You Hydrated + Cool
As much as I love having a cocktail at the pool (Miami Vice gal over here!), I also make sure to have a big cup of cold water to stay hydrated in the heat! Dehydration leads to exhaustion and headaches for me, and I do not have time for that!
I purchased this handheld fan for our wedding, but taking it to the pool is next level greatness. I found one of my go to pool day essentials without even realizing it… Sometimes you just need a little extra breeze to cool you down, ya know?
Amazon Pool Day Essentials That Make Your Life Easier
Pro tip: reusable ziplock bags are fabulous to have on hand to put sunscreen in, hair ties, whatever other little things you might want to keep organized within your pool bag.
This little umbrella suctions onto your phone and kindle to provide shade while looking at your device.
I love using towel clips to keep my large beach towels in place. For budget friendly pool day essentials, you can use the Basic towel clips. If you want to spend a little more for something fun, I love the Flamingo towel clips. The pro move here is to use one for your towel, clipped up top, and another across your arm rests.
