RaceTrac Pizza + Whatever Gets You Going

Dallas Fort Worth

Austin got a little bit jealous of the RaceTrac Pizza Party that I went to last month… So of course we had to stop by the first RaceTrac we saw. The first one we saw was while we were driving the side roads from our new house back to the apartment. I knew from the moment we walked in that RaceTrac pizza by the slice would become our new go-to lunch or dinner spot during the house buying/moving/renovation process.

RaceTrac Pizza By The Slice

When we ran into the RaceTrac near our new house in Richardson, Austin bolted straight for the coffee, I went straight for the Swirl machines (SHOCKER). We met back in the middle of the store to get some pizza… Our timing couldn’t have been more perfect because they had just cut slices of a hot Buffalo Chicken Pizza. We took one slice of meat lovers and buffalo  knowing we’d be loading up on a few other items while we were there.

We went halfzies on the two slices, but Austin still claims the better pizza is buffalo (I beg to differ). My favorite part is the crust… I’m a sucker for a crust that’s got a crunch to it and still manages to be fluffy. Which is probably why I’m so hooked on these pizza slices… it always hits the spot.

RaceTrac Pizza Pairings

As if I could be anymore obvious, I paired my pizza with a bowl of frozen yogurt and toppings. If you’re curious, my go-to toppings are Butterfinger, cookie dough, cherries and gummy worms. A little odd? Sure. A lot great? Duh. I also grabbed a bag of RaceTrac gummy worms… because why not?

Austin skipped the dessert and went for the two main meals, picking out a hamburger from the grab and go section. He ate the burger so quickly I didn’t get a bite… but according to the speed he ate it, it must have been good.

[…] RaceTrac! If you didn’t tell me “hey I got this from a gas station,” I would never know. This pizza, ordered by the slice or as a full pie, is thick and hearty. Meat Lovers, Pepperoni and Buffalo […]
