Before my husband and I even got engaged we had talked about doing a beach destination wedding ceremony somewhere. While we had no idea where we would end up getting married, I’m so glad we ended up with a Cabo destination wedding! Our boho beach wedding ceremony could not have turned out as magical as it did without the help of the incredible team of Cabo wedding vendors shared below. We are so thankful they were able to take a few inspiration ideas and turn it into such a beautiful laid back, romantic, intimate wedding ceremony on the beach of Paradisus Los Cabos!
Our Cabo Beach Wedding Ceremony Details
Breaking down the details of our beach wedding ceremony from the location to what we wore to decor and more. If there’s something I missed that would help you plan your own destination wedding, please feel free to leave that in the comments or email me!
Beach Wedding Ceremony Location
Our wedding ceremony was on the beach outside of The Reserve area of Paradisus Los Cabos. There’s a big wooden staircase that leads you down to the beach. From there it’s a short walk to the area of the beach where our ceremony was set up at. The sand was easy to walk on because it was smoothed out for the whole wedding area. My bridesmaids and I went barefoot on the sand, and I encouraged guests to feel free to slide their own shoes off or wear something that was comfortable to walk in the sand.
Wedding Party
With our destination wedding being very small to begin with, we wanted to keep our wedding party small as well.
The groomsmen are wearing the same linen suit that Austin, the groom, is wearing. We found them around Easter time at Macys and ordered them for each guy. They wore white button down shirts under, no tie, brown belt and brown shoes. We had two ring bearers and they also wore grey suits to coordinate with the guys.
The bridesmaids wore navy maxi dresses that they picked out from BHLDN. I wanted to make sure they felt comfortable in what they were wearing but still cohesive. Because the wedding ceremony was symbolic (we legally were married in 2020 on our original wedding date), our officiant did not have to be ordained. Austin’s sister officiated our wedding and wore a marigold maxi dress to coordinate with the navy blue bridesmaid dresses. She was originally wearing a midi navy blue dress from BHLDN, but was pregnant on our rescheduled wedding date. I love the contrast of colors!
Bride and Groom
We chose to write our own vows for our wedding, and I love that for us. Austin will tell anyone that he isn’t much of a writer, but hearing the vows he wrote melted my heart into a million pieces. If you find yourself in a position to do personal vows, do it. I would make the same choice 1000 times over. It’s so special.
Austin is wearing the same outfit as his groomsmen. He chose the color grey, as it was what he felt most comfortable in color wise. We went with a linen fabric because we knew it would be hot outside and wanted to help keep them cool as much as possible. Because it was a laid back beach ceremony, we didn’t mess with ties.
My wedding dress is Darling from Grace Loves Lace. I tried it on at the Dallas store with Emily, be sure to ask for her! I knew I wanted something lacy and lightweight because frankly, I sweat a ton. While wedding dress shopping in Dallas, I tried on some absolutely beautiful plus size wedding dresses, but this is the one that screamed “sexy, laid back beach wedding” to me. The dress was altered at Altered for the Altar in Dallas Design District.
Under my dress I wore high waisted nude underwear, Brassy Bra boob tape and lots of Megababe Thigh Rescue (which was also in our welcome bags for guests)! I also carried around a handheld fan until the ceremony and then the amazing planner team held on to it for me.
I went barefoot, but wore anklets that were also from Grace Loves Lace. My hair was half up half down with a statement hair piece from Jennifer Behr for an elevated beach look. Emily Alders at Abstrakt Studio colored and cut my hair before Cabo to be prepared for this hairstyle, so thankful we did that! I had my lashes done by Ashley before leaving Dallas, which also was key for day of beauty!
I originally had earrings from Grace Loves Lace, but one broke the day of our wedding. Thankfully I had a pair of earrings from Jennifer Behr I planned to switch into for the reception, so I was able to wear those for the ceremony!
Cabo Wedding Vendors We Used for Our Beach Wedding Ceremony
Like I said before, this beautiful beach destination wedding ceremony would not have been possible without an incredible team of Los Cabos wedding vendors creating some magic on the beach for us. Sharing below the vendors that helped created the most romantic and intimate spot on the Paradisus Los Cabos beach for us.

They listen to what your ideal wedding would look like and find amazing vendors to make that dream come true. There is nothing better than a wedding day that goes smoothly, and they make that possible.
Upon our arrival to Cabo we met with Pamela and her team in person for the first time to go over the plan for the week and answer any questions that we had. It was so nice to get to meet the team in person after many months of communicating via email and Zoom!
The night before the wedding Pamela met us at the beach to do a quick rehearsal of our beach wedding ceremony. She was great at getting everyone coordinating and ready to go for the next day. Our wedding was small, but there were still moving parts that we had to nail down before the wedding day.
On the day of the wedding, Pamela and her team were on site bright and early to help make sure everything was set up for our day. As someone who has major anxiety and is usually on the planning side of events, it put me at ease knowing Pamela and the team were there to make sure everything went smoothly from set up until take down.

Velvet Floral Cabo | Cabo Florist
Velvet Floral Cabo creates stunning bouquets and flower pieces for weddings. You will chat with them prior to your wedding to give them inspiration on what you’re looking for on your special day.
I told the team that I loved boho florals and the look of dark colors… I also told them I wanted to keep things simple and laid back, I was walking barefoot after all. Their team created the most stunning bridal bouquet of my dreams that complimented by lacy dress perfectly. When it came to florals for the ceremony set up, they kept it simple but with a statement, using two floral pieces on the triangle arch. Austin also had a boutonniere to match the floral arrangements. For the bridesmaids, we did a single flower. Sometimes less is more, and this is one of those times.
