Are you searching for some plus size wedding dresses to try on for your big day? First, I want to apologize on behalf of the bridal industry that it’s such a challenge. I think the bridal industry has a long way to go to be more inclusive with sizing. I want to see plus size wedding gowns in magazines, on billboards, in look books, styled photoshoots, samples available in stores to try on, filling our Pinterest and Instagram feeds — and beyond.
To be honest, I struggled for a long time with the idea of shopping for plus size wedding dresses. I was running out of time with my wedding quickly approaching, so I made a few appointments. I visited Grace Loves Lace, The Lovely Bride and A and Be Bridal. After I chose my dress, I had the opportunity to try on a few additional dresses from BHLDN when they launched extended sizing in fall 2020. Below are photos + names of plus size wedding dresses to help provide you some plus size bride inspiration, and maybe help lead you to “the dress” for your own big day!
Note, my wedding dress is not included and will be added after our wedding in June 2021 (it’s been postponed twice due to Covid).

I first spotted the Willowby by Watters Geranium Gown at Lovely Bride in Dallas. This is one of many plus size wedding gowns available at BHLDN. For this being strapless, I was really impressed with the boning and support.
Cera Gown by Nouvelle Amsale
I found the Nouvelle Amsale Cera Gown on BHLDN’s website and tried it on at home. I feel like this is a great lighter weight princess style plus size wedding dress.

This joy dropping gown is the Willowby by Watters Capricorn. I tried it on at Lovely Bride in Dallas. It’s a beautiful plus size gown boho option!
Shipley by Jenny by Jenny Yoo
This gorgeous, sleek silhouette is the Jenny by Jenny Yoo Shipley Gown! If I was getting married on a rooftop or somewhere with a bit of an industrial feel, this would for sure be my dress. I found it on BHLDN!
Bonita by Grace Loves Lace
The Bonita by Grace Loves Lace is such a chic, boho plus size wedding gown option! It’s a crisp white color and the lace details are impeccable.
Menha by Grace Loves Lace
The Menha by Grace Loves Lace was nearly *the dress* for me. I mean… can you even with how beautiful it is?! It is a bit heavy, so I ultimately decided that wouldn’t be best for me as I walk in the sand…but gosh, I dream of this one.
