What Is Considered Mid Size
Mid size is a phrase used to describe the area of clothing sizes at the end of straight sizing and the start of plus sizing. As far as specific mid size sizes, it usually starts around a size 12 and goes up to around a 16. Some people say mid size is 10-18, other people will say 12-16 and some people even say mid size is well below a 10 (which personally I think could be confusing “mediums” with “mid size”).
What is a Mid Size Blogger
Speaking from my own experience as a blogger and woman who wears a size 14/16, I often find myself lost between two worlds: Plus Size Fashion and Straight Size Fashion. When I discovered the world of “mid size” it felt like a place I belonged, well, sometimes at least. Truthfully I still feel like I don’t belong anywhere, as a lot of smaller sized bloggers have been using the term mid size blogger to describe their bodies/type of content, which makes me feel like I shouldn’t use the classification. On the flip side, as someone who is on the smaller end of plus sizes, I’ve been left to feel like I’m not “big enough” to use that classification either, even though I am quite literally shopping and sharing about a plus size store. But I digress… back to what we’re going to call a mid size blogger in today’s post!
Some brands that cater to straighter sizes might end their size range before getting to 14/16, or have a more narrow fit in those sizes that don’t work with my curves. While some brands that cater to curvy, plus size bodies might not start at a small enough size to include my size range. The fashion industry has certainly made strides to #MakeMySize for women of all sizes to enjoy fashionable options, but there’s still quite a bit of work to be done.
So, for the sake of today, we’re going to call the 12-16 ish range Mid Size Fashion and highlight some of the incredible mid size bloggers to follow for fashion inspiration.
Mid Size Style Bloggers to Follow
Sharing some great mid size bloggers below, why I follow them and where you can find them! Let’s dive in, shall we?
Bonnie Wryick
It only took one TikTok styling video to know that Bonnie was going to become one of my favorite mid size fashion bloggers to follow for outfit inspo! Not only does Bonnie have a fun sense of style, but she’s incredibly confident and does a wonderful job sharing that light online. Bonnie is a mother of two and lives in the midwest. Plus she’s a Kansas State Wildcat and loves the Kansas City Chiefs, so she’s got that going for her!
You can follow Bonnie on Instagram, TikTok and BonnieWyrick.com!
Caralyn Mirand
First off, Caralyn is the queen of shape wear and undergarments! I credit her as the reason I got properly fitted for a bra in 2019 and have become so passionate about making sure other women do the same! Caralyn is also one of the first women in the mid size fashion space t to use the phrase “in betweenie” and I’ve always loved that! Beyond the bras, Caralyn shares a great range of mid size style staples for your closet, like denim, jumpsuits, swim and more! You can also count on Caralyn to give some serious travel inspo to your feed.
You can find Caralyn on Instagram, Facebook and CaralynMirand.com!
Hey Candace
If you are in need of both mid size style bloggers and serious aesthetic inspiration bloggers on your feed, Candace is your gal! I love following Candace for her fashion and home decor style, plus she’s one of the nicest gals I’ve met online. I personally look to Candace for her fall/colder weather style! She leaves in the Portland and her content does a great job of showing off how the cool gals of PNW live.
You can follow Candace on Instagram, TikTok and CandanceMolatore.com!
Ruthie Ridley
Ruthie does a fantastic job sharing attainable and affordable mid size fashion options! She shares a variety of colorful items (like this adorable Summersalt swimsuit + wrap skirt) as well as more neutral items. If you have kiddos of your own, you hit the jackpot because Ruthie shares with us her beautiful (and very well dressed) family.

RaeAnn Langas
Rae has been serving up fun athleisure and swimsuits this year like it’s her job! Oh, well, I mean I guess it is her job… But still! It’s been fantastic. I love how she can make such a simple look look elevated and high fashion. Plus, she styles outfits with sneakers quite often and I can get down with that.

Kristina Zias
The amount of times I save a post from Kristina because I want to shop and/or recreate an outfit later is honestly obscene. But, in the best way, ya feel me? Kristina shares amazing outfits at all different price points which my balling on a budget lifestyle can appreciate. If I had to describe the style Kristina shares it would be edgy meets west coast best coast.
