My Favorite Small Businesses in DFW
I know how easy it can be to shop at big box stores, but there is something so special about shopping at small businesses in DFW (or your own hometown!). These are a few locally owned Dallas businesses that I shop at for gifts, home decor, clothing and more. Be sure to check their social media pages out to get a feel for their inventory and brand vibe… and of course keep these businesses in mind next time you’re looking for something they carry!
PS- if you own a small business in DFW, please let me know! I’d love to learn more about your business.
White Rock Soap Gallery
White Rock Soap Gallery has a few locations in the Dallas Fort Worth area! I popped into the store on a whim, as it’s in the same shopping center as my physical therapy, and I’m so glad I did! I ended up leaving with some adorable bath + relaxation gifts for my sister-in-law, and an amazing smelling candle for myself. If you’re looking for gifts or self care items for yourself, this is one of the small businesses in DFW you’ve got to pop by! Be sure to check them out on Instagram and Facebook to see more.
Dallas store is located at 10233 E NW Hwy #401, Dallas, TX 75238.
McKinney store is located at 214 N Kentucky St B, McKinney, TX 75069.
The Colony store is located at 5768 Grandscape Blvd Ste. 185, The Colony, TX 75056.
Jade and Clover
If you like plants, this Dallas business is for you. Jade and Clover has a wide variety of gifts, things for the home, garden and a plant bar! It’s like Build-a-Bear, but with plants. Even if plants aren’t your thing, you have many options when it comes to paper goods, jewelry, accessories, beauty, self care and home goods for yourself or for gifts.
Jade and Clover is located at 2633 Main Street Suite 150 Dallas, TX 75226. Be sure to check them out on Instagram and Facebook to see more.
Vagabond Vintage
I love finding vintage t-shirts, flannels and jackets, so it’s no shock that this Dallas business made the list. Vagabond Vintage is a vintage clothing store in Design District that carries a pretty wide range of items. You can find some racks of shirts for ~$30, while others might be $100+. Be prepared to look around and dig a bit to find the gems that best fit your personal style.
Vagabond Vintage is located at 1616 Market Center Blvd Dallas, TX 75207. Be sure to check them out on Instagram and Facebook to see more.
All Good Things
Writing this post I’ve discovered that I have a love for adorable gift shop small businesses in DFW… All Good Things is no exception to this! This is a fabulous spot to pick up unique cards and special gifts to let someone know you’re thinking of them. I love the cheeky notepads and incredible candles. You can also pick up party supplies, like banners, custom cups and napkins, at All Good Things.
All Good Things is located at 404 W Eighth Street Dallas, TX 75208. Be sure to check them out on Instagram and Facebook to see more.
3 Marthas
Nothing beats 3 Marthas when it comes to high quality baby and toddler items, seriously. This Dallas business has been around for over 30 years! They have swaddles, bibs, burp cloths, hooded towels, birthday crows, cuddle dry aprons and so much more. 3 Marthas also has a wide variety of colors and designs to choose from. Plus you can have the items personalize, which makes for such a sweet baby shower gift!
3 Marthas can be shopped online and at boutiques near you. Be sure to check them out on Instagram and Facebook to see more.
Lyla’s
When we moved to the Richardson area I discovered how lovely the downtown Plano area is (very close to 75 and George Bush for reference!). Lyla’s caught my eye when exploring the area and I’m so glad I popped in! I ended up buying most of my Christmas gifts that year from Lyla’s, and taking home some tea towels + other decor home for myself. You can find women’s clothing, accessories, gifts, “man cave” items, kids + baby, kitchen and home decor at this DFW small business.
Lyla’s Clothing is located at 1024 E 15th St, Plano, TX 75074. Be sure to check them out on Instagram and Facebook to see more.
Flea Style
There are two Flea Style locations in DFW, the original store in Deep Ellum and The Star in Frisco. Both stores have amazing selections of home goods, vintage fashion, accessories, game day apparel and more. Plus when you go pick up the gift, you can snap a quick picture in front of the murals! If you stop by the Frisco location, visit around lunch time so you can enjoy a meal at Heirloom Hall.
Flea Style at The Star is located at 6765 Winning Dr #830, Frisco, TX. Flea Style Deep Ellum is located at 3009 Commerce St, Dallas, TX. Be sure to check them out on Instagram and Facebook to see more.
Game Day Style
A sister company to Flea Style, Game Day Style is your one stop shop for unique game day finds! Some of the pieces are vintage and kept as is, others are up-cycled into new designs. While a majority of the store (last time I went!) was Dallas Cowboys, I also spotted lots of college apparel and some other Dallas area team gear.
Game Day Style is located at 6635 Cowboys Way # 110 Frisco, TX 75034. Be sure to check them out on Instagram and Facebook to see more.
Favor the Kind
I’ve been shopping at Dallas boutique, Favor the Kind, since one of my first trips to Dallas. While I do have to call out that the size range is limited (I’m hopeful it will extend in the future!), the buyers do a fabulous job at curating the store. Beyond women’s clothing, they also carry unique home goods, great gifts, jewelry, home goods and some kids clothing.
Favor the Kind is located at 2928 N Henderson Ave Dallas, TX 75206. Be sure to check them out on Instagram and Facebook to see more.
Woods by Woods
If you need custom wood working done- from furniture to coasters and everything in between- Woods by Woods is the Dallas business for you! We were kindly gifted a charcuterie board + coaster set awhile back and it’s a wonderful conversation starter. I don’t think we’ve had anyone at our house who hasn’t complimented the coasters on the coffee table!
Woods by Woods can be shopped online. Be sure to check them out on Instagram and Facebook to see more.
Verbena Parlor
Verbena Parlor is a nail salon located in the Uptown Dallas area, but I had to include them in this small businesses in DFW round up because they offer some amazing shopping in the lobby area! You can pop by any time to grab a coffee/tea and shop around (or just to shop of course!). Be prepared to find some unique jewelry and beauty goods from local makers.
Verbena Parlor is located at 2626 Howell St, #166 Dallas, TX 75204. Be sure to check them out on Instagram and Facebook to see more.
