Snuggle Under the Stars and Watch a Movie Outside
Snuggling under the stars… a feature flick on the big screen… sharing a bucket of popcorn and some gummy bears… You can have the perfect fall date night at Coyote Drive-In Fort Worth, Texas. We love a good drive in movie theatre experience!
Uptown Dallas Inc also has movie in the park on Tuesday nights in September. The movies are: Clueless (5th), The Mask (12th), Hitch (19th) and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (26th). The movies start at 8pm and are located at Griggs Park, 2209 Clark Street, Dallas, TX 75204. Movies and popcorn are free to the public, you can bring in your own snacks and drinks, pets are allowed and parking is limited.
Enjoy a Day Outside at Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden
One of my personal favorite festive fall date ideas in Dallas is visiting the Dallas Arboretum for the pumpkin patch. We went for the first time in 2017, and I have been hooked ever since! From the pumpkin patch, to the gorgeous lake views, to the flowers, it’s truly one of the best places to enjoy nature. This year I’m planning to take a cooler and a blanket for a picnic on the lawn. I guess I have a thing for fall picnics…

A little food and wine never hurt ‘nobody, right? If you or your boo (double points if you share the same interests) are into experiencing a lot at one time, these events make the perfect date outing. There are tons of stencils and ideas for carving pumpkins- and I recommend these tools from Amazon. Yes, the tools are $20. Yes, they will last you year after year.

Cheer for the Home Team
Whether you’re in Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, or anywhere in between, there is tons of football to be seen. Nothing beats tailgating in Texas if you ask me.
You can catch me watching the TCU Horned Frogs on Saturdays, and typically watching the Chiefs play from home. When I’m feeling really DFW proud, I’ll head out to AT&T Stadium to watch the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday and find a local high school team to watch Friday. No matter what level you watch, you’re bound to have a fun time.
Dress Up For Charity
If you ask me, there’s no better excuse to book a blowout and buy a dress than to attend a charity event. It’s romantic and charitable all at the same time- win win!
SPCA of Texas Fur Ball on October 20th at The Factory.
Bring HOPE Gala on October 16th at 7915 Greenville Ave.
Fort Worth Margarita Ball 2023 on December 2nd at the Renaissance Worthington Fort Worth Hotel in downtown.
Celebrate Authentic German Festivals All Over DFW
Do you like food? Do you like drinking? Are you down for an evening (or day) outside of the norm? If you answered no to any of those, you might as well leave this blog now… But, if you answered yes, then make plans ASAP to attend one of the many Oktoberfest celebrations in Dallas Fort Worth.
Full disclosure, I’ve never been, but my husband swears it’s his favorite thing to do in DFW during the fall.
Walk and Eat Your Way Through the State Fair of Texas
Be prepared to get your steps in… but you’re going to want those steps after you stuff your face with fair food. Be sure to address one thing before you go: sharing is caring (and the only way you’ll survive trying a variety of fair food).
