I’m not sure how long wedding party proposals have been the trend… I asked my mom how she asked her bridesmaids, and it wasn’t quite as elaborate of what you hear people doing nowadays. I know creative bridesmaid proposals (and groomsmen proposals) aren’t for everyone, but if you like gift giving, you’ll enjoy this! There are tons of ways to ask your friends to be in your wedding party, but here’s how I did mine!

Bridesmaid Proposals
I did a bit of a combination of pre-made boxes from a local Dallas small business + a few hand picked additions for my gals.
Under the Pergola is your gal if you want a creative box put together for you, trust me. Not only did she help me with the bridesmaid boxes, she gave me the sweetest gift to celebrate my engagement!
MOH and Bridesmaid Proposal Cards
My favorite part of all of our wedding party proposals… the cards (act surprised card and the sister card)! We got all of the cards from Etsy. I think these could also stand alone for the “proposal” if you wanted to forgo the gifts or if your friends/family don’t live near you. Maybe throw in a gift card for their favorite coffee spot or a store they can buy shoes, jewelry, etc for the wedding.
Groomsmen Proposals
If it was up to Austin, we would have just sent a text to the guys. So how fitting is the card we used for the gifts?!
For each of the two guys (best man + groomsmen), we did something a little different. The gifts were for each of their personalities. We ordered both the personalized cigar box and personalized flask from Etsy. Clearly I had a thing with ordering gifts there…
Groomsmen Proposal Card
This card felt very fitting for the groomsmen and best man proposal gifts!
Ring Bearer Proposal Gifts
There’s nothing better than giving your favorite little ones a gift to open. The pure joy on their face, no matter what the gift inside, is heartwarming.
Since we are doing a destination wedding in Mexico, we wanted to give the boys a festive and useful gift. We found the sweetest passport holders from Etsy.
Ring Bearer Proposal Cards
While I did forget to take photos of the passport holders, at least I remember to snap photos of the adorable cards (security card and cake card).
Officiant Proposal
I know not everyone is going to need to do an officiant proposal, but if you are, you can keep it simple by making it an extension of the other bridal party proposals. We went similar to the bridesmaid proposals since we asked Austin’s sister.
